Consists of an individualized and challenging intervention protocol, based on the physiology of exercise, with the aim of re-educating and rehabilitating the muscles of the perineum, through contraction, relaxation and stretching.
Initially, a specific and detailed assessment of the patient’s clinical condition is carried out. The protocol consists of 14 individual sessions (depending on the clinical condition), divided into 3 phases: teaching / body awareness, agility / muscle coordination and finally, muscle hypertrophy.
An electrostimulation and biofeedback device is used, through an intracavitary probe. This methodology allows a continuous objective assessment of the patient’s performance and evolution. In addition, other techniques, active and / or passive, can be used, such as:
Through these techniques, we seek to promote an improvement to the quality of life of patients, who have an active and responsible role in the evolution of their clinical condition.
